Bag Drop 2010

Bag Drop 2010 is well and truly underway! We have had lots of enthusiastic help from St Mary's and from the 31 Club. We were aiming for 2000 bags but thanks to the wealth of support from people we have managed to put together 3000 bags! Watch this space for more news on a great cause! Distribution of bags will go to the following communities; Inanda Valley; Shongweni Valley; Tongaat; Amaoti; Molweni; Durban ; and Zululand. Buy a bag, change a life! Should you be interested in being part of this outreach, please contact us with your details by the end of May. Help us make a difference one bag at a time.

Further Support

If you would like to further support any of the following needs please and you will be prompted to send us an email with how you are able to help.

Tracksuits needed!
We recently put out a request for sponsorship towards track suits for some of the children living in and around May’s house where we are caring for some orphans. Below are 5 tracksuits that we bought for the boys and 2 jackets for the girls. A big thank you to Clive for responding to this desperate need!. A further 20 are still needed for many of the other children that are being supported surrounding the area…Would really appreciate any support towards clothing these children this winter.

Beds Needed!
“Some of these children are sleeping on cement floors with either a thin sponge or on a blanket. Would really appreciate some help towards the purchase of some single or bunk beds. Blankets and warm clothing would be of great help.”

Breakthrough
Have also had a big breakthrough with a troublesome mother who was keeping her one son out of school in order to get him to go up to Kloof and beg. God has shown us the importance of rehabilitating the whole family. We have been ministering to some of the alcoholic & disfunctional parents and doing home visits where necessary.

School Bursaries...
We are currently in the process of supporting the future of our nation by funding bursaries. The schools include Highbury, Northlands, Lower Mowleni and Amauti. Education is the most sustainable form of hope for the future generation. We feel that lack of anything should never be the reason for dreams not being fulfilled. So we hope that by allowing these kids to go to school they can begin the journey of reaching their true potential.
If you or your company have funding which you would like to contribute to bursaries, please contact us.

Bag Drop 09
This year we are aiming at raising enough funds to ensure we can provide 2000 school bags equipped with the basic stationary by December. Our vision is to increase the number to 20 000 for next year. This is a massive undertaking and we are welcoming any support from specific suppliers of related goods. Please Let us know if you would like to get involved with this amazing opportunity. One bag could make all the difference.

New Projects!
We have committed to supporting the Shalom Trust and the Star Fish Babies Home, we will update you soon on what we are doing and how we are helping. We are pressing ahead, but if you or your organisation would like to support these ventures, let us know how you can help.
